For more fascinating trivia (mostly from North America), read this new book. It is super enjoyable to read (and I hate nonfiction as a rule) and you will learn interesting things that you never imagined beginning about 65 myb when we received that little left jab from hell known as the Chixilub meteor. And relearn some factoids that are truly incredible - like barbecuing all the NA megafauna on a pointed stick in only 300 yrs. Amazing. Anyway this is my new Best Nonfiction book ever. It has some caveats of course, and the most recent stuff that I know most about has some errors in my opinion, but hardly egregious enough to warrent discarding the entire book. I am getting a second opinion on the geological/evolutionary perspective from someone more expert than I shortly - I hope. Anyway, beats trash novels on transglobal flights every time.
