PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE,... FORWARD TO YOUR FELLOW PATRIOTS!!!
Please, help us in Maryland.
On Saturday, I talked to two lobbyists for Gun Owners of America at the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore. They are in possession of a copy of Maryland Attorney General, J. Joseph ("Joe") Curran, Jr.'s report entitled "A Farewell to Arms: The Solution to Gun Violence in America."
We refer to it affectionately as "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "The Final Solution."
Do not be mistaken. In Curran's report, he has shot the whole leftist wad and called for a complete ban on handgun ownership and villification of ALL gun ownership (despite the fact that he says nice things about hunters, but says they have no need for handguns).
GOA is in possession of a bound copy of Curran's report that was apparently mailed, at Maryland taxpayer expense, to the attorneys general of the other 49 states. GOA will not divulge the state from which a patriot delivered to them a copy of Curran's report.
I have a bound copy I picked up from Curran himself at his press conference at the Montgomery County, MD police headquarters, and have been analyzing it for the last several months. This document makes Sarah Brady and Parris Glendening look like moderates on the gun issue, and that may have been their intent all along.
Please don't fall for it. As the other side learned long ago, if you only ask for a little, you won't know how much you could have gotten. Ask for everything. Shoot for the moon! The conservatives have been well-behaved, polite, don't-talk-back, avoid-a-confrontation, shut-up-and-eat-your-peas kind of people for too long.
It's time to stand up like our Forefathers did and cause some trouble.
As the lobbyists at GOA are known to say, when dealing with politicians, "pain is good, and extreme pain is extremely good."
And don't be afraid to beat up on your own. If you are not willing to destroy your own, you're not going to invoke fear in your enemies. Anybody in Ohio remember Anthony Cellebreeze (sp?), Democratic candidate for Governor? Remember him changing his stance on abortion just a few months before the election? He was just following orders. He lost. If the left can discipline their rabble, even to the political detriment of individual candidates, then why can't we discipline ours?
If you have a supposedly "A"-rated legislator in your camp HE/SHE should NEVER cast a bad vote on gun-control. NEVER! They should not be voting with you three times out of four. They should be with you every time. If they are not, then cause them pain. Right them letters. Make commotion. Angry voters are painful to politicians.
When bad legislation comes through, start hammering on them. However, don't let them dust you off. They will tell you,
The well-behaved conservative goes home saying, "Man, I don't want to be called a trouble maker. I don't want to hurt my cause."
When you start hearing excuses like those above, that's when you TURN UP THE HEAT, go back to your people and tell them to sharpen their knives, because there's going to be a feast. When you hear responses like those above, it means you've hit a nerve. Go home, you dummy...
...Come back with a bigger drill.
And don't be bought off, either. They may also tell you,
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP US:
Write or phone the attorney general in your state and ask for a copy
of the Maryland Attorney General's report, "A Farewell to Arms." Don't
let them stonewall you. Find out when they were mailed a copy, and
where it went after it was received in their office. This info can
greatly help your patriot friends here in the People's Republic of Maryland.
Even the Dayton Daily News is running articles about the lunatic Maryland
proposals for further victim disarmament in the "Free" state. The
Dayton reporter suggested these solutions would greatly benefit the People
of Ohio (16Dec99).
?
Friends, here are the facts. The citizens of Maryland are the most robbed citizens in the United States, according to the FBI Uniform Crime Report for 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998. That's right, for four years in a row, Maryland has earned that notorious distinction. The '98 data was just released by the FBI in October.
Do you really want the policy makers of your state to take lessons from the socialist architects who made Maryland #11 in aggravated assault, #5 in violent crime, #4 in murder, and #1 in robbery?
!
Accidental "gun" deaths are at their lowest levels in 100 years. "Gun" murders are down. In fact, the Maryland State Police report on page 14 of the Maryland Uniform Crime Report that "handgun" murder dropped by 12% in Maryland in 1998 over 1997.
HOWEVER, MURDER INCREASED IN MARYLAND BY 2% IN 1998, DESPITE A 7.3% DROP NATIONWIDE!
What could possibly be the cause for this? How about...
IT'S THE CRIMINAL, STUPID!!!
Maryland State Police also report that "knife" murder is up 58%, "blunt object" murder is up 70%, and "other weapons" (non-gun) murders are up 240% (only 10 in '97, 34 in '98).
Yeah, it must be the guns.
Now they are hammering on guns because of suicides. We have the highest "gun" suicide rate in the world (or something like that). My response is: "So what?" Maybe Honduras has the highest suicide rate with a banana during a full moon on Tuesday nights. The question should be, how has this affected their total suicide rate?
In the case of the U.S., we are in the middle of the pack when it comes to per capita Gross Nation Product (GNP) among the highest GNP nations of the world. If we have the "world's highest gun suicide rate," then how does this affect our standing against the rest of the "civilized" nations of the world?
Well, as it turns out, according to the Statistical Abstract of the United States, the U.S. has the LOWEST suicide rate of any of the top 8 per capita GNP nations of the world. And what countries does that include? How about Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, France, Austria, and one other that I can't remember right now. (possibly Denmark?).
The point being, if we are suffering an "epidemic" of guns "on the street" then how is it that Americans are less suicidal and self-destructive than the citizens of countries like Japan, where they have few guns and a 30% higher suicide rate? Do we applaud the low "gun" suicide of Finland, or cry over their 150% higher rate?
Why can't we be more like all those countries our ancestors fled?
I think you, unlike our elected turnips, can divine the answer.
Pray for us here in Maryland. It's going to be a long year.
