This misunderstanding is unfortunate since
it was never our intention to question the validity of hunters or hunting.
After all, hunting is as much a part of the American fabric as Jeep vehicles.
Additionally, we respect those groups to which hunters belong. While we stand
by the creative intent of Deer Hunter, we are also sensitive to hunters who
find it objectionable.
Chrysler Group apologizes to anyone
who was offended by the Deer Hunter commercial. In the same way that we encourage
motorists to drive safely, Chrysler Group supports the right of all individuals
to hunt responsibly.
