Gun owner group closer to filing lawsuit against anti-civil rights mayors, counties & the NAACP

With the list of cities filing frivolous lawsuits against gun manufacturers growing, the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is closer to launching its own counterattack by filing a lawsuit against these same anti-gun Mayors and the attention-hungry National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). SAF plans to sponsor a "damage action" against each and every one of these cities and the NAACP for conspiracy to violate civil rights, abuse of process and undue burden on interstate commerce.

The Second Amendment Foundation has retained Shawn Timothy Newman as the lead attorney for the lawsuit. Mr. Newman graduated from Notre Dame Law School, worked as a former Washington State Assistant Attorney General, and authored several scholarly works. He is now in private practice with an emphasis in constitutional rights. California attorney C. D. 'Chuck' Michel will also be involved in the case.

Mr. Newman and Mr. Michel will join with the many legal scholars and law professors volunteering their time and knowledge from all across the country to end these punitive and unnecessary lawsuits against makers of legal, non-defective products.

All Second Amendment Foundation lawsuits are funded directly by our members and we can only take on cases as our funding allows. If you want to contribute financial help to this landmark legal battle, please send a check or money order to:
